Service · Internal linking

Internal links,
aimed at the pages that sell.

Authority routed to the pages that need to rank, links placed by hand in the CMS and a second crawl to prove it. No auto-linking plugin, and no exact-match anchor pasted across the site.

Three passes

Crawl, map,
then link by hand.

  1. Crawl

Every link on the site, recorded

A full crawl lists each internal link, its anchor text and where it sits, plus the pages that nothing links to at all.

  2. Map

    Targets chosen, links planned

The pages that need to rank come first. Each one gets source pages that already carry authority, and a written anchor for every link.

  3. Build

    Linked by hand, then checked

Links added in body copy, menus and related sections inside the CMS, then a second crawl confirms every one is live.

The link map comes as a spreadsheet: source page, target page, anchor and placement, one row per link.

Sound familiar

Three ways a site
hides its best pages.

Most sites have plenty of links. They just point at the wrong pages, or at pages that moved a long time ago.

  • 01

    Pages nothing links to

New service and location pages go live with no links pointing at them, so search engines find them late and treat them as minor.

  • 02

    Authority spread evenly

The menu and footer link to every page the same way, and the pages that sell get no more support than the privacy policy.

  • 03

    Links to pages that moved

Old URLs, redirect chains and broken links left behind by a redesign, so every click and every crawl takes a detour.

A link map first, then links placed by hand.

Every new link has a target page, a source page with authority behind it and an anchor that says where it goes.

The arrangement

Your client meets you.
They never meet us.

Reports carry your logo, PDF metadata names your business, and our strategists use your email aliases on every call they join.

  • Reports sent from your address

    Never a shared vendor inbox.

  • Your business in the file metadata

    Author, title and producer fields.

  • @youragency.com aliases

    On outreach and client calls.

  • Mutual NDA and non-solicit

    Signed before the first login.

What is in the project

Where the authority
actually goes.

Run it as a one-off project for a client or as part of a white-label SEO retainer. The target pages are agreed with you before a single link is placed, so every link has a reason you can explain.

  • 01

    Full link audit

A crawl records every internal link on the site with its anchor, its placement and where it leads, so the plan starts from what is really there.

    • Links in copy, menus and footers
    • Anchor text for every link
    • Clicks from the homepage, per page
  • 02

    Orphan and buried pages

Pages with no links pointing at them, and pages buried so deep that crawlers rarely reach them, found and brought within a few clicks.

    • Orphans checked against the sitemap
    • Deep pages moved closer to the top
    • A linking rule for every new page
  • 03

    Priority page routing

The pages that need to rank get links from the pages that already earn traffic and backlinks, instead of an equal share of everything.

    • Target pages agreed with you
    • Source pages chosen by authority
    • Pages that earn backlinks put to work
  • 04

    Topic clusters

Service, location and blog pages grouped by topic, with every supporting post linking up to the page it supports and across to its neighbors.

    • A hub page for each service
    • Posts linked to the service they support
    • Location pages tied to their service
  • 05

    Anchors that describe

Anchor text written to say what the target page is about, varied the way people write, never one exact phrase pasted across the site.

    • No “click here” or “read more”
    • Varied, natural phrasing
    • Checked against the keyword map
  • 06

    Navigation and repairs

Menus and related-page sections tidied, breadcrumbs added to deep pages, broken links fixed and links to redirected URLs pointed at the final address.

    • Broken internal links repaired
    • Redirect hops taken out of links
    • Breadcrumbs on deep pages

The deliverable list

A link map your
team can follow.

A crawl before, a map in the middle and a crawl after, so the change is easy to show. Put the summary straight into your client update. Your team can keep linking from the same map after we finish.

One row per link. The second crawl checks every row against the live site, so your team can see exactly what changed and where.

How it runs

From a crawl
to links that work.

Six steps, and you are only needed for three of them. Everything between is ours to run.

  • You are needed at steps 1, 3 and 6
  • No link goes live before you approve the map
  • Scope agreed before anything begins
  1. 01
    You

    You send the site

One client URL and the pages the client most needs to rank. The crawl needs no login; Search Console access follows the NDA.

  2. 02
    Us

    We crawl and map it

Every internal link recorded with its anchor and target, orphan pages listed, and a link map drafted around the priority pages.

  3. 03
    You

    You approve the map

Check the target pages and the proposed links against what you know of the client. Cut, add or reorder before anything changes.

  4. 04
    Us

    We place the links

NDA signed and editor access handed over, then each link added by hand in the CMS, with broken and redirected links fixed on the way.

  5. 05
    Us

    We crawl it again

A second crawl confirms every planned link is live, no page is left orphaned and no link points at a redirect.

  6. 06
    You

    You send the summary

A before-and-after summary in your template, written for the client. Forward it as your agency's work.

The alternatives

Hire, subcontract,

What we need from you

Four things, then
we are out of your way.

Links are only as useful as the pages they point to. These four tell us which pages those are and where we can work.

  1. 01

    CMS editor access

Editor-level is enough for links in copy. Menu changes, or a related-pages section that has to be built, need theme access.

  2. 02

    The pages that matter most

The services, products or locations the client most wants to sell. They become the targets the rest of the site supports.

  3. 03

    Search Console read access

It shows which pages already earn clicks and backlinks, which makes them the best places to link from.

  4. 04

    Pages on the way

New pages, a redesign or a migration planned for the coming months, so no link is placed on a page about to change.

Partner feedback

The people who would
never admit we exist.

  • "We added SEO to the rate card in a month without hiring anyone. Three years in, not one client has asked who does the work, because there is nothing to find."

    FounderBrand studio · Austin, TX
  • "The strategist joins our client calls under our domain and knows the account better than we do. That is the part other providers cannot fake."

Operations DirectorPerformance agency · Chicago, IL
  • "We tested four providers. ServeVision was the only one that sent the outreach list before pitching, so we could veto our clients' competitors."

Honest qualifier

This is not right
for everyone.

We would rather say no early than take a project or retainer that was never going to work.

  • A good fit if…

    • You sell the work and own the client relationship
    • You want one invoice instead of five freelancers
    • You need capacity that scales down when a client churns
    • You would rather your team stayed on what they are good at
  • Not a fit if…

    • You want us to sell for you: we never touch your pipeline
    • You need same-week rankings on a brand-new domain
    • You want the cheapest possible per-hour rate
    • You want us to take a client off your hands: we never go direct to your clients, during the engagement or after

Questions

Before you resell this.

Book a call
Why not use an auto-linking plugin?

Plugins link by matching keywords, so the same phrase gets linked on every page, often to the wrong target. We choose each link from the map, which keeps the anchors natural and sends support to the pages you and the client agreed on.

Will you rewrite the client's content?

Only as far as a link needs. Most links fit into a sentence that is already there. Where one does not, we suggest a short new line and you approve it before it goes live.

How do you choose which pages get links?

We start from the pages the client needs to sell, agreed with you, and the pages that already earn traffic and backlinks. Links run from the second group to the first, with anchors that describe the page on the other end.

What about location pages?

Each location page is linked from its service page and from nearby locations, and each service page links out to the places it covers, so no city page sits on its own where crawlers cannot find it.

What happens when new pages are added later?

Inside a white-label SEO retainer, we link each new page in when it goes live and update the map. After a one-off project you keep the map and the linking rules, so your team can do the same.

Where we run it

This service runs
in all 50 states.

Location pages are where linking most often breaks: a city page goes live and nothing points to it. Each one is tied to its service page and to nearby areas, wherever your client does business. Pick a state to see its metros.
