A Shopify team
off your payroll.

Themes customized to spec, apps chosen with a reason for each, and a checkout tested end to end before a real customer sees it. The store launches under your agency's name, not ours.

The timeline

How a Shopify store
comes together.

  1. Week 1

    Store plan and theme

Products, collections, apps and shipping rules listed in writing, and a theme chosen or custom-designed for the brand.

  2. Week 2

    Theme and catalog

Sections and templates built so the client can edit them in the theme editor, then products, collections and apps loaded.

  3. Week 3

    Checkout and launch

Payments, shipping, taxes and order emails tried with test orders, speed checked, and the store opened after you approve.

About 21 days is typical for a website build. The exact dates go into your fixed-price proposal before anything starts.

Sound familiar

Where Shopify builds
cost agencies most.

The platform is easy to start on. These are the places it gets expensive for the agency that sold the store.

  • 01

A theme edited into a corner

Layouts hard-coded into a bought theme until it can no longer be updated, and the next developer has to start from scratch.

  • 02

    An app for every problem

Reviews, bundles, pop-ups and upsells, each with its own script on every page and its own monthly charge on the client's bill.

  • 03

    A checkout nobody tested

Shipping zones, taxes and discount codes set up once and never tried. The first failed order reaches your client through a shopper.

Rent a team that already exists.

Only when you have a build to put on it. No salary between projects, no ramp, no gap when someone leaves.

The arrangement

Your client meets you.
They never meet us.

No credit in the footer and no author tag in the theme. Our team works through collaborator access, and any email a client could see goes out from your aliases.

  • No footer credit, no backlink

Nothing in the theme names us.

  • Collaborator access only

The store stays in your client's account.

  • Your agency's email aliases

On every email a client could see.

  • Mutual NDA and non-solicit

    Signed before the first login.

What is in the build

Theme, catalog,
checkout and launch.

Send the whole store or a single piece of it, such as a theme rebuild or a checkout clean-up. Each piece is listed separately in the fixed-price proposal.

  • 01

    Theme build and customization

An existing theme customized to the brand, or a custom design built into one, using sections and blocks the client can edit without calling you.

    • Sections the client can rearrange
    • Custom code documented for your team
    • Built to the approved design
  • 02

    Products and collections

Products, variants, collections and filters loaded from a spreadsheet or exported from the old store, WooCommerce included.

    • Variants and options set up cleanly
    • Collections and filters for browsing
    • Images sized before they are uploaded
  • 03

    Apps, only where needed

Apps only where the theme cannot do the job itself, each one named in the proposal with its reason and its monthly cost to the client.

    • Every app justified in writing
    • Billed to the client's store, not us
    • Old app code cleaned out of the theme
  • 04

    Checkout, payments, shipping

Payment providers, shipping zones and rates, taxes and discount rules set up, then tried with test orders on phones and desktops.

    • Test orders placed end to end
    • Order emails in the store's branding
    • Tax settings as the client specifies
  • 05

    Search-ready from day one

Old URLs redirected to their new product and collection pages, titles and descriptions set on each template, and the sitemap sent to Search Console.

    • Every old URL mapped to a new one
    • Search titles and meta descriptions set
    • Sales tracking checked in analytics
  • 06

    Launch, handover and ownership

Domain connected, the store owned by your client, our collaborator access removed, and an admin walkthrough recorded under your agency's name.

    • Store in your client's account
    • Staff accounts for their team
    • Walkthrough recorded for you

The deliverable list

What ships with
every store.

Each line below either shipped or did not, and your client can check every one in the Shopify admin. Paste it into your proposal as it is.

How it runs

From a catalog
to the first order.

Six steps, and you are only needed for three of them. Everything between is ours to run.

  • You are needed at steps 1, 3 and 6
  • Final payment only after staging approval
  • Scope and price fixed before anything begins
  1. 01
    You

    You send the store brief

The store URL or the plan, the product list, the apps the client already pays for and the launch date. We list back anything missing.

  2. 02
    Us

We scope it at a fixed price

Within 24 hours: theme work, catalog, apps, checkout settings and dates in one proposal you can put your own name on.

  3. 03
    You

    You sell it your way

Present it under your agency at your own price. Client questions reach us through you, never directly.

  4. 04
    Us

    Collaborator access, then build

NDA signed, collaborator access to the store, and the theme built on an unpublished copy so the live store keeps selling.

  5. 05
    Us

    Test orders and QA

Checkout, shipping, taxes, discounts and order emails tried with test orders on phones and desktops, with the team answering 8 AM to 4 PM EST.

  6. 06
    You

    You approve, the store opens

You and the client sign off the preview, the final payment follows, and the theme is published or the password comes off.

Most of our work is invisible.
By design.

What we need from you

Four things, then
we are out of your way.

A store is mostly data and rules. Send these once, and your part after that is reviewing the preview.

  1. 01

    Access to the store

Collaborator access to the existing store, or the client opens the new store in their own name and invites us in.

  2. 02

    Product data and images

A spreadsheet or an export with products, variants, prices and images. We map it to Shopify's import format.

  3. 03

    Brand or approved designs

The brand guide or finished mockups. No designs yet? We can design it as its own line item.

  4. 04

    Shipping, tax and payments

Where the client ships, what they charge for it and the tax settings their accountant wants. We enter them exactly as given.

Partner feedback

The people who would
never admit we exist.

  • "We added SEO to the rate card in a month without hiring anyone. Three years in, not one client has asked who does the work, because there is nothing to find."

    FounderBrand studio · Austin, TX
  • "The strategist joins our client calls under our domain and knows the account better than we do. That is the part other providers cannot fake."

Operations DirectorPerformance agency · Chicago, IL
  • "We tested four providers. ServeVision was the only one that sent the outreach list before pitching, so we could veto our clients' competitors."

Honest qualifier

This is not right
for everyone.

We would rather say no early than take a project that was never going to work.

  • A good fit if…

    • You sell the work and own the client relationship
    • Your client is set on Shopify and needs a store built or rebuilt
    • You want checkout, shipping and taxes tested before launch
    • You would rather not keep a Shopify developer on staff
  • Not a fit if…

    • You want us to sell for you: we never touch your pipeline
    • The client wants to own the code and the hosting: see WooCommerce stores
    • You want the cheapest possible per-hour rate
    • You want us to take a client off your hands: we never go direct to your clients, during the engagement or after

Questions

Before you send a store.

Book a call
Do you build custom themes or customize existing ones?

Both. A good existing theme customized to the brand keeps the cost down and theme updates possible. When the design needs layouts no theme offers, we build custom sections to the approved mockups. The proposal says which route we recommend and why.

Who owns the store and the apps?

Your client. The store sits in their Shopify account, app charges go on their store's bill, and we work through collaborator access that is removed at handover.

Can you move a store from WooCommerce or another platform?

Yes, as its own scope. Products, collections and customers are mapped across, and old URLs are redirected so existing links keep working. What can move depends on the old platform, so the proposal lists it before you quote.

Will the live store go down while you work?

No. On an existing store we build on an unpublished copy of the theme, and you preview it with the client. It is published only after you approve it.

How long until the store is live?

It depends mostly on the catalog and the apps. A typical website build takes about 21 days, and the dates for this store are written into the fixed-price proposal before anything starts.
