Responsive design,
built mobile-first.

Every template starts at phone width, widens for tablet and desktop, and is checked at each size before your client sees it. Your logo on every screen size. Our name on none of them.

Smallest screen first

Built up from
the smallest screen.

  1. Phone

    Phone layouts first

Content order, menus, buttons and forms are decided where space is tightest, so the offer and the way to get in touch are never an afterthought.

  2. Tablet

    Widened for tablets

The same layouts opened up for tablets in portrait and landscape, with extra columns added only where the content earns them.

  3. Desktop

    Scaled up to desktop

Wide screens get the extra columns and imagery. Then every size is checked again on staging, speed included, before you approve.

About 21 days is typical for a website build. The exact dates go into your fixed-price proposal before anything starts.

Sound familiar

Fine on a laptop,
broken on a phone.

Most of these sites looked fine in the design review. The review just happened on a laptop.

  • 01

    A desktop layout, squeezed

Columns stack in whatever order the code happens to be in, so the phone number and the quote form end up at the bottom of a long scroll.

  • 02

Built for a mouse, not a thumb

Menus that need hovering, links packed too tight to tap, and forms that bring up the wrong keyboard.

  • 03

    Pinch, zoom, scroll sideways

Small text, fixed-width tables and embeds wider than the screen. Visitors end up doing the work the layout should have done.

Rent a team that already exists.

Only when you have a build to put on it. No salary between projects, no ramp, no gap when someone leaves.

The arrangement

Your client meets you.
They never meet us.

No credit in the footer, no author tag in the theme, and our team writes from your email aliases whenever a client could see it.

  • No footer credit, no backlink

Nothing we build carries our name.

  • Your agency in the theme files

    Author fields and admin branding.

  • Your agency's email aliases

On every email a client could see.

  • Mutual NDA and non-solicit

    Signed before the first login.

What is in the build

Six parts, designed
for small screens.

Take them as part of a full build, or as a fixed-price refit of a site your client already has. The scope names every template and screen size before you quote.

  • 01

    Content order and layout

We decide what a phone visitor needs to see first, usually the offer, the proof and the way to get in touch, and lay out each template in that order.

    • Content order agreed per template
    • Calls, bookings and quotes kept in reach
    • Breakpoints set by the content, not a device
  • 02

    Navigation and tap targets

Menus, buttons and links sized and spaced for a thumb, with nothing that only works when a mouse hovers over it.

    • Menus that open with one tap
    • Click-to-call and map links
    • Targets spaced to avoid mis-taps
  • 03

Forms and checkout on a phone

Short forms with the right keyboard for each field, and a checkout that works one-handed on WooCommerce or Shopify.

    • The right keyboard for every field
    • Autofill and clear error messages
    • Test leads and orders sent from a phone
  • 04

    Type and spacing that scale

Font sizes, line lengths and spacing that adjust smoothly between screen sizes, so the copy stays readable without anyone zooming in.

    • Body text readable without zooming
    • Headings that wrap cleanly
    • Spacing tuned for each breakpoint
  • 05

    Images sized for each screen

Each image served at the size the screen needs, with crops chosen for portrait phones so the subject stays in the frame.

    • Several sizes generated per image
    • Separate crops for phones where needed
    • Lazy loading below the fold
  • 06

    Ready for mobile-first indexing

Google indexes and ranks the mobile version of a page, so the phone layout carries the same content, headings, schema and links as the desktop one.

    • Same content at every screen size
    • Headings and schema kept on phones
    • Internal links intact in the phone menu

The deliverable list

Every template,
at every width.

The proposal names each template and the screen sizes it is checked at, so nothing is left to argue about on staging. Your client signs off each template at each size.

How it runs

From the brief
to every screen.

Six steps, and you are only needed for three of them. Everything between is ours to run.

  • You are needed at steps 1, 3 and 6
  • Final payment only after staging approval
  • Scope and price fixed before anything begins
  1. 01
    You

    You send the pages

A sitemap for a new build, or the URL of a site that falls apart on phones. Tell us which pages get the most phone traffic if you know.

  2. 02
    Us

    We scope and quote

A fixed-price proposal within 24 hours that lists every template, the screen sizes it is checked at, and the dates.

  3. 03
    You

    You quote it your way

Bundle it into a redesign or sell it as a mobile refit. Your client only ever talks to you.

  4. 04
    Us

    NDA, then access

NDA and non-solicit in place before we log in. Staging set up on your client's host or ours, dates confirmed in writing.

  5. 05
    Us

    We build phone-first

Phone layouts first, then tablet and desktop, built and checked on staging. Our team answers 8 AM to 4 PM EST.

  6. 06
    You

    You approve staging

You and your client review staging on your own phones and sign off. The final payment follows, then the site goes live under your name.

The portfolio

Most of our work is invisible.
By design.

Our agency builds ship under partners' brands, NDA-protected. What you can see: sites we own, and direct clients who agreed to be shown.

The alternatives

Hire, subcontract,

All three work. They just cost different things, and only one of them fixes the price before work starts.

What we need from you

Four things, then
we are out of your way.

Send these once. After that, all we ask for is your sign-off on the staging link.

  1. 01

    The pages and priorities

The sitemap or current URL, the deadline, and which pages matter most on a phone, such as the booking or quote page.

  2. 02

    Desktop designs, if any

If your team already designed the desktop version, send the files. We design the phone and tablet layouts to match them.

  3. 03

    Read access to analytics

Read access, so we can see which devices and screen sizes your client's visitors actually use and check those first.

  4. 04

    Access to the current site

Admin access for a refit. For a new build, hosting access, or we set up staging for you and move the site across at launch.

Partner feedback

The people who would
never admit we exist.

  • "We added SEO to the rate card in a month without hiring anyone. Three years in, not one client has asked who does the work, because there is nothing to find."

    FounderBrand studio · Austin, TX
  • "The strategist joins our client calls under our domain and knows the account better than we do. That is the part other providers cannot fake."

Operations DirectorPerformance agency · Chicago, IL
  • "We tested four providers. ServeVision was the only one that sent the outreach list before pitching, so we could veto our clients' competitors."

Honest qualifier

This is not right
for everyone.

We would rather say no early than take a project that was never going to work.

  • A good fit if…

    • You sell the work and own the client relationship
    • You sold a site and have no one free to build it
    • You want a fixed price and real dates to put in the proposal
    • You would rather your team stayed on what they are good at
  • Not a fit if…

    • You want us to sell for you: we never touch your pipeline
    • You want the cheapest possible per-hour rate
    • You need a ranking promise in writing to resell
    • You want us to take a client off your hands: we never go direct to your clients, during the engagement or after

Questions

Before you send a build.

Book a call
Can you make an existing site work on phones?

Usually, as a separate fixed-price scope. We review the theme and templates, then put in writing whether a refit will hold up or a rebuild is the better route, before you quote the client.

What is the difference between responsive and mobile-first?

Responsive means the layout adapts to the screen. Mobile-first is the order we design in: the phone layout is decided first, then widened. Starting small forces the content decisions early, so the phone version never feels like a squeezed copy of the desktop one.

Which screens and browsers do you check?

Every template is checked from a narrow phone up to a wide desktop, in portrait and landscape, in current Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox. If your client's analytics show a device that matters to them, tell us and it goes on the checklist.

Does mobile-first design help SEO?

Google indexes and ranks the mobile version of a page, so a phone layout that drops content, headings or links works against the site. We keep the same content at every screen size, and technical SEO or page speed work can go into the same scope.

Can our client review it on their own phone?

Yes. The staging link opens on any phone, so you and your client review the site where most visitors will see it. The balance is paid only once you have approved staging.
